Dentures in Painters Hill

Dentures in Painters Hill

When several teeth are missing, everyday moments change. A sandwich gets cut into small pieces, one side of the mouth does all the chewing, and smiling for photos starts to feel complicated. For many of our neighbors in Painters Hill, dentures are a practical way to fill those gaps and get back to eating, speaking, and smiling with more confidence. At Boulder Rock Dental, our Palm Coast office provides both complete and partial dentures. Dr. Thinh Tran and Dr. Jake Ryan guide each patient toward the option that fits their mouth, their health, and their budget.

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. They are custom-made to fit your mouth. We offer two conventional types, and the right one depends on how many natural teeth you still have and how healthy they are.

Complete dentures replace a full arch of teeth, either upper, lower, or both. They suit patients who have lost all of their teeth in an arch, or whose remaining teeth can't be saved. Partial dentures fill gaps when some healthy natural teeth remain, attaching to those teeth for support. A partial can be a good fit if you have a few missing teeth in different spots and want to keep the natural teeth you have. For some patients, we also discuss implant-supported dentures, which are anchored by dental implants for added stability. We place implants as part of our periodontic care.

Your first visit begins with a thorough dental exam. We look at your remaining teeth, your gums, and the overall health of your mouth. This helps us understand whether a complete or partial denture makes more sense. It also shows whether any teeth or gums need attention before your denture is made. Painters Hill patients are often surprised how much a single conversation clarifies their options.

Many people are good candidates for dentures. This includes:

  • Adults who have lost most or all of their teeth to decay, gum disease, or injury
  • Patients with several missing teeth who want to protect their remaining healthy teeth
  • Current denture wearers whose older appliance no longer fits well or has been damaged
  • Patients who want greater stability and may be candidates for implant-supported dentures

If you already wear dentures, we can repair or replace them. There's no need to start from scratch with a new office.

How We Make and Fit Your Dentures

After your exam, we create a plan tailored to your situation. Some patients need preparation first. That may mean a simple extraction of a tooth that can't be saved, gum disease treatment, or fillings on the teeth that will support a partial. Taking care of these steps first gives your new denture a healthier foundation.

From there, we work with you on the fit and appearance of your denture across a series of visits. We check how it sits, how your bite comes together, and how it looks with your smile. Dentures are custom appliances, so we take the time to make adjustments. Our team puts patient comfort first, and we encourage questions at every stage. Because our office also handles general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, much of your related care can happen in one familiar place, which makes things simpler for patients traveling from Painters Hill.

Caring for Your Dentures Over Time

Getting used to new dentures takes some patience. Eating and speaking may feel different at first, and that's normal. We'll explain how to clean your dentures, how to store them, and how to care for your gums and any remaining natural teeth. If something feels uncomfortable or a sore spot develops, let us know so we can take a look.

Regular checkups still matter when you wear dentures. During routine visits, we examine your gums and the tissues of your mouth, and we can provide oral cancer screenings. Over time, the shape of your mouth can change, so we check the fit of your denture and repair or replace it when needed. Our office offers emergency dental appointments as well, so you can reach us if a denture breaks or something unexpected comes up.

Paying for Dentures

We want cost to be clear before treatment begins. We accept all major PPO insurance plans, and we welcome self-pay patients. We'll help you understand what your plan may cover so there are fewer surprises.

To spread out costs, we offer financing through CareCredit, iCreditWorks, and Sunbit. Patients without insurance can also join one of our in-house dental membership plans: $189 or $240 per year, or $109 per year for veterans. If you live in Painters Hill and have been putting off replacing missing teeth, we're glad to talk through your options and help you take the first step.
