Care Close to Home
Our Palm Coast team serves families from Flagler Beach, Beverly Beach, and Painters Hill.
Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable aligners instead of brackets and wires. Each set of trays is shaped to move your teeth a little at a time, and you switch to the next set as your smile shifts toward its planned position. At Boulder Rock Dental, Dr. Thinh Tran and Dr. Jake Ryan offer Invisalign as part of our orthodontic care for patients in Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Beverly Beach, and Painters Hill.
Invisalign is a clear aligner system. Instead of having braces bonded to your teeth, you wear smooth plastic trays that fit snugly over them. Because the aligners are nearly invisible and come out when you need them to, many people find them easier to fit into work, school, and social life than traditional braces. You take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, brush, and floss, then put them back in.
We treat both children and adults with clear aligners. That range matters in a community like ours. A teenager may want to straighten crowded teeth before graduation photos. A working professional may want to close a gap they have noticed for years. A retiree may want to correct teeth that have drifted over time. Whatever your age, the goal is the same: gradual, guided movement toward a straighter, more comfortable bite.
Invisalign works best for patients who are committed to wearing their aligners consistently. Because the trays are removable, results depend on you keeping them in for most of the day and night. Before we recommend treatment, we want to be sure your teeth and gums are healthy enough to support tooth movement. That is why your path starts with a thorough dental exam.
Here are a few things we look at and talk through with you:
- Gum health: Active gum disease should be treated first. We offer scaling and root planing and other gum disease treatment in our office.
- Existing dental work: We check fillings, crowns, and other restorations so we can plan around them.
- Cavities or decay: Our cavity detection and fillings help us address problems before your aligners go in.
- Your goals: Some patients want Invisalign alone. Others pair it with whitening or other cosmetic care as part of a broader smile makeover.
Because Boulder Rock Dental provides preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry under one roof, we can handle most of this groundwork without sending you elsewhere. That keeps your care coordinated and your timeline simpler.
Caring for Your Aligners and Your Smile
Good habits make a real difference during treatment. Brush and floss before putting your aligners back in, so food and bacteria are not trapped against your teeth. Rinse the trays when you remove them, and clean them regularly so they stay clear and fresh. Keep a case with you, because wrapping aligners in a napkin at a restaurant is one of the most common ways they get lost.
Keep up with your routine dental cleanings and exams throughout treatment. Our hygienists can help keep plaque under control around teeth that are actively moving and spot any concerns early. If something feels wrong, such as a cracked tray or sudden discomfort, call us. We offer emergency dental appointments when problems can't wait.
Keeping Your Results
Once your teeth reach their new positions, they need help staying there. Teeth naturally tend to drift over time, so we will talk with you about how to protect your results after your final aligners. Following our guidance at this stage is just as important as wearing your trays during active treatment.
Ongoing preventive care also helps your new smile last. Regular cleanings, exams, and oral cancer screenings remain part of your care long after your Invisalign treatment ends. If you would like a brighter finish once your teeth are aligned, we offer both in-office and take-home teeth whitening.
Paying for Invisalign
We want cost to be something you understand before you begin, not a surprise later. We accept all major PPO insurance plans and welcome self-pay patients. Coverage for orthodontic treatment varies from plan to plan, so our team is glad to help you understand what your benefits may include.
For patients who prefer to spread out payments, we work with CareCredit, iCreditWorks, and Sunbit. We also offer in-house dental membership plans for patients without insurance, priced at $189 or $240 per year, with a $109 annual option for veterans. These plans can make your routine preventive visits more predictable during and after treatment.
