If you've been living with a mix of worn, broken, missing, or repeatedly repaired teeth, you may have reached a point where fixing one problem at a time no longer makes sense. Maybe chewing has become uncomfortable, an old bridge is failing, or you avoid smiling in photos. At Boulder Rock Dental in Palm Coast, we help patients step back and look at the whole picture, then build a coordinated plan that restores comfort, function, and confidence across the entire mouth.
Full mouth reconstruction is a personalized treatment plan that rebuilds or replaces most or all of the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws. It is not a single procedure. It combines the restorative, periodontal, and cosmetic treatments that your mouth actually needs, sequenced so each step supports the next. For one patient, that might mean treating gum disease, placing dental implants, and finishing with crowns. For another, it could involve a root canal on a cracked tooth, new partial dentures, and composite bonding to even out worn edges.
Because our office offers general, restorative, periodontal, endodontic, and prosthodontic care, Dr. Thinh Tran and Dr. Jake Ryan can coordinate much of this work under one roof. Patients from Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Beverly Beach, and Painters Hill often appreciate not having to juggle appointments across several offices just to complete one plan.
Good candidates typically have problems affecting many teeth at once. Common examples include widespread decay, teeth worn down over the years, multiple missing teeth, failing older dental work, or loose or ill-fitting dentures. You don't need a referral to see us for implants or endodontic care, so you can start the conversation directly with our team.
Your first visit begins with a thorough dental exam, cavity detection, and an oral cancer screening, along with a careful look at your gums and bite. Healthy gums are the foundation of any lasting restoration, so if we find signs of gum disease, we'll usually address it first with scaling and root planing. We also take time to understand your goals. If appearance matters as much as function to you, our Digital Smile Design tools help us plan and visualize how your finished smile may look before treatment begins.
Building Your Treatment Plan Step by Step
Once we understand your mouth's needs, we lay out a sequence that makes sense for your health, schedule, and budget. Foundational work usually comes first, including gum treatment, extractions, root canal therapy, and fillings. Then we move into restorations that rebuild structure and replace missing teeth. Finally, we add the cosmetic refinements that bring everything together.
Depending on your situation, your plan may draw on treatments such as:
- Dental implants or implant-supported dentures to replace missing teeth
- Crowns and bridges to strengthen or fill gaps between damaged teeth
- Complete or partial dentures, or repair of dentures you already have
- Porcelain veneers, composite bonding, or teeth whitening for a natural, cohesive finish
- Clear aligners or Invisalign to improve tooth position before restorative work
We explain each phase in plain terms, so you always know what is happening and why. Our team places a strong emphasis on comfort, and we use modern technology throughout to keep your visits as efficient and predictable as possible.
Caring for Your Restored Smile
Aftercare is what protects your investment over the long run. Brushing, flossing, and cleaning around implants, bridges, or dentures as we show you will help keep your gums and remaining natural teeth healthy. We'll give you practical instructions specific to the restorations you receive, since caring for an implant differs from caring for a denture.
Regular visits matter just as much. Our dental hygienists provide cleanings and periodontal maintenance to keep gums stable, and our dentists check that your bite and restorations continue to fit and function well. If something ever feels off, or you have a dental emergency, we offer emergency appointments, including same-day visits for urgent endodontic needs, so small issues don't become bigger ones.
Making Treatment Affordable
We know a full mouth reconstruction is a meaningful investment, and we want cost to be something we plan for together rather than a barrier. We accept all major PPO insurance plans and file claims on your behalf, and we welcome self-pay patients as well. Because treatment is often completed in phases, many patients spread the work out in a way that fits their budget and benefits.
For added flexibility, we offer financing through CareCredit, iCreditWorks, and Sunbit. Patients without insurance can also join one of our in-house dental membership plans, available at $189 or $240 per year, with a $109 annual option for veterans. Our team will walk you through your options before any treatment begins, so there are no surprises.
